With mountains spread across the country, the resorts of Turkey represent several different regions and ecosystems. From moderate treed slopes to rugged peaks hundreds of meters above treeline, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Davraz Ski Center

Davraz Mountain is located in the Taurus Mountains of southern Turkey. Its a large flat-topped mountain standing 2637 m (8,652ft) tall and the new high speed bubble chair climbs to 2394 m (7,380ft). The off-piste opportunity is some of the best lift accessed terrain in Turkey. Its proximity to Denizli Ski Center and the coastal city of Antalya make it a great stop on a tour of Southern Turkey

Denizli Ski Center

Denizli ski center is a newly developed area located in the taurus mountains of southern Turkey. Just over an hour from the famed Cleopatra Pools and other sites of Pamukkale you can relax in thermal pools after a day on the mountain. Within a few hours of both Davraz Ski Center and Antalya we highly recommend planning a roadtrip!

 

Erciyes Mountain

Erciyes is an impressive stratovolcano in central turkey with a summit elevation of 3917 m (12,850ft). The ski area spreads across its flanks with the top station of the Ottoman lift reaching 3400 m (11,155ft). With highway access directly from Kayseri the traffic is minimal and the roads always clear.

Kartalkaya Ski Center

Kartalkaya is located close enough to istanbul (3 hrs drive) for a weekend getaway or even a day trip. The mountain is split between 2 ski centers, Kartalkaya and Dorukkaya with a maximum elevation of 2375 m (7790ft). Both areas host mellow and intermediate pistes and some areas for tree riding.

 

Kartepe Ski Center

Kartepe is the closest ski area to Istanbul. Its proximity, mellow terrain, and consistent snow make it a great area for families and beginners. Just 1.5 hrs drive from the center of Istanbul, you can get the family in the car, on the mountain, and then back to Istanbul for dinner overlooking the Bosporus.

Ilgaz Mountain

The Ilgaz Mountain National park lies 2.5 hours drive north of Turkeys capital city of Ankara. Its known for its beautiful treed slopes and plentiful snow. It hosts multiple small ski areas that are accessible on the same ticket. Like many of the ares listed here, these forested mountains host great opportunity for ski touring and split-boarding.

 

Palandoken Ski Center

Palandoken, in Erzurum province of eastern Turkey, Is a large complex of 2 Modern ski areas, Ejder3200 and Konakli. Originally built to host youth olympics, Palandoken has facilities for every winter sport. With quick access to the Erzurum airport, long cold winters, and high speed lifts Palandoken is one of the best choices available in Turkey.

Sarikamis

Sarikamis Ski Area in Kars is known for its dry powder and open treed slopes. It boasts great beginner and intermediate on-piste terrain but its secret allure lies beneath the boughs of the yellow pines that cover the mountain. Great tree riding coupled with fast lifts and cheap ticket prices make it one of our favorite destinations. It lies only 2 hours east of Palandoken at Erzurum making it a great idea to pair the different destinations together and experience 2 of the best resorts in Turkey.

 

Uludag

Uludag is turkeys original ski area. Having long hosted the ski culture of Turkey and Istanbul’s elite, the posh hotel options are sure to please along with the mix of great skiing above or below treeline. Only a few hours trek from Istanbul makes it a perfect weekend getaway or addition to a larger tour of Turkey.
